Remote Participation in the Baku Internet Governance Forum

The Seventh Annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Meeting will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 6-9 November, 2012.

The proposed main theme for the meeting is: ‘Internet Governance for Sustainable Human, Economic and Social Development’. The meeting in Baku will revolve around the role of Internet governance in promoting various forms of development. The theme also emphasizes the use of Internet governance to provide a supportive environment for sustainable development. the agenda of the Seventh Meeting of the IGF along the traditional six themes, which are as follows:

  • Internet Governance for Development
  • Emerging Issues
  • Managing Critical Internet Resources
  • Security, Openness and Privacy
  • Access and Diversity
  • Taking Stock and the Way Forward

Small Islands Developing States will be presenting a Workshop at 11am 7 November (Baku time) which is UTC 700. If you are participating remotely you will be able to join into this session and ask questions or make comments, as you wish.
